About Us
Meet the Founders
At Ontario River Project, our goal is to make a positive impact on our community and the environment. Our co-owners, Dominik Calvesbert and Joseph Ward, were inspired to create this organization after witnessing first-hand the environmental challenges facing our local waterways and green spaces. Their dedication and passion have been the driving force behind our conservation initiatives.

Dominik Calvesbert
Dominik Calvesbert is a university student who's passion was ignited by his studies in science. He has been "Fishing since he could walk" and has been a proud resident of the Credit River for the last 4 years; learning not only his fishing skills from Joseph Ward, but also the conservational shortcomings of southern Ontario and has opened avenues to make a difference. Dominik is from Nova Scotia, an outdoorsman his whole life; he never misses an opportunity to reminisce about nature and the beauty of the outdoors. His main motivator for starting the Ontario River Project with Joseph is his passion to preserve the beauty of the outdoors and to reverse the damage that has been done to our rivers, lands, and parks.

Joseph Ward
Joseph Ward is no one new to conservation. Joe has been outdoors all his life and has proudly guided professionally for 11 years under the name Blue Water Fishing Adventures. During that time Joe has gained the reputation of being one of the best in Southern Ontario. Using his reputation, Joe has gathered many like-minded people of all backgrounds to participate in conservation projects. Joe is a director of the Credit River Anglers Association, and has directed and/or helped many volunteer driven projects such as: River and land clean-ups, Hatchery work for fish, Fish ladder projects, Tree plantings, and more. Many of the fish you catch and trees you see you on the Credit River may only be there because of Joe and other like minded conservationists in the region!
Conservation Initiatives
We are proud to partner with the Credit River Anglers Association to undertake various conservation initiatives. From organizing clean-up events to hosting fundraisers, we are committed to raising awareness and taking action to protect our natural environment. By collaborating with like-minded organizations, we aim to make a lasting impact on the health and sustainability of our local ecosystems.
